Elements of Style - out with the OLD and in with the NEW!

Hello, stampers!  Today is a big day - the NEW Stampin' Up! catalog goes live at Noon MDT!!!  Yay!  Are you excited?  I know I am!  And tomorrow after my New Catalog Open House I plan to put in a nice big order for new stuff.

In order to make room in the catalog for all this new awesomeness, some products had to go into retirement.  And one of those - boo, hoo! - is the Elements of Style stamp set.  I love this set - it has sentimental value for me in that I bought it to use for making my son's and DIL's wedding programs (take a look!)  And I just plain love the beautiful touch it gives to any project.

I made these cards using Elements of Style a while back when the colors Brocade Blue and Marvelous Magenta had retired.  They look similar to the Triple Time Stamping cards - I guess they are kind of like Double Time Stamping!  Such a pretty toile effect . . .

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted

Purple Wedding Suite: Ceremony Programs

One last day of Wedding Week!  On Wednesday I showed you the things I created for my son's rehearsal dinner.  Today I want to show you the wedding ceremony programs I created!  It was super fun to design this for Marcus and Emily.  I used a standard piece of cardstock and scored it at 2-3/4" from each side, folding the sides in to meet in the middle - it's called a gate fold! The square of Eggplant cardstock is attached to the left side and overlaps the right.

I made good use of all the printing space.  I was amazed how much I could fit in!

A good rule of thumb on wedding programs is to make 75% of the number of expected guests - and then make sure your usherettes remember to hand them out!  I had 80+ left over - but I can use the monogram part on notecards, so that's good!

Hummingbird of LOVE

When I saw Glenda's card, I just knew I had to try to replicate it. I changed up the colors a bit in keeping with Valentine's week.  I love seeing the ruby-throated hummingbirds come to our feeder in the summer!

The square window panel is raised a bit with Dimensionals. And the overall card is 4.25" so it still fits in an A2 envelope.  I really like how the red panes highlight the hummingbird!

Double Pocket Pouch Gift Bags

Have a few little treats you need to deliver in style?  Look no further than the easy folded Double Pocket Pouch!  Made with an 8" square piece of Designer Series Paper, you can have elegant packaging in no time!

There is a pocket on each side, so you have double the fun!  And the ribbon keeps the two halves together at the top.

The Double Pocket Pouch is all about the folding - no adhesive necessary!  I only used Dimensionals to attach the scallop circles along the bottom edge.
