CLOclub share: Ciao Baby!

My CLOclub met last week - I sure love my group of ladies!!!  They are the best and I am enjoying getting to know each one just a little better each time we meet.

This week I am going to share some projects we made back in May. I realize many of the products are now retired since Sale-A-Bration and the Occasions catalog ended last spring, but if you purchased some of them maybe these ideas will give you renewed inspiration!

Today's card features one of my very favorite sets, "Ciao, Baby!" - which I sincerely wish had made it into the Annual Catalog.  BUT it's on clearance!!! You can still get that and the Cloudy Day embossing folder in the Clearance section of my Online Store - I know, 'cuz I just ordered another one!!

Each of the little punchies is raised with Dimensionals, and I just tied a double-wrapped knot in the ribbon because I was running short - still using up some retired grosgrain ribbon!  I left the inside blank - this could pass as a baby card - or just a pretty 'hi, friend!' card.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted

Are you Packed for BABY?

Hello!  I hope you are well today.  I think the summer schedule and the weddings I'm working on have all caught up with me - I haven't posted for you in a few days!  So sorry about that.

I'm getting this card ready to send out to Joey and Emily and their sweet little baby Elise!  She's definitely a keeper ... and this card is definitely quick and cute!

I stamped the panel once in the middle, and then once above and once below.  The sentiment panel is popped up with Dimensionals and the ribbon is fastened with Gluedots.

You could use any background stamp for any occasion and make a focal panel out if it!

KIDS . . . start out as BABIES!

I am constantly amazed how quickly childhood passes and how, just as quickly, I've become 'mom' to an empty nest! I'm happy for them . . . and rather sad for me!  So today I'm gonna reminisce a bit - with BABY cards! Super simple and cute - and just the right touch to send your congrats to someone just beginning the KID journey!

The little parasols were stamped an extra time, colored, cut out and popped up with a tiny piece of a dimensional.

Baby Banners

Hello there!  I got a question this week from Sandra.  She is involved making cards for Operation Write Home (OWH) and the guidelines prohibit much in the way of bling on cards!  You can find out more about this great ministry project HERE.  I learned a LOT - including NO GLITTER!

I told Sandra I'd try to post some ideas from time to time that would meet the guidelines and still turn out to be fun and cute cards.  I thought of this card right away, inspired by Connie Babbert.  The baby theme could easily be switched to a birthday or thinking of you theme.  Other than the dimensionals used, this card consists of all flat layers! And you could even omit the dimensional adhesive and just mount the focal point flat to the card.

These banners were cut to be 1.5" wide and 5", 4", and 3" long.  When I make this card again, however, I will make the banners 5", 4.5" and 4" long.  3" turned out to be a little short I think.  The ends were cut with a square punch turned upside down!

Thanks so much for asking for ideas, Sandra!  I hope to add more in the future, and will tag them "OWH" so you find them on a search of my blog.  And remember - any card can be 'flattened' down by mounting layers flat without dimensionals, replacing brads and buttons with small punched shapes, and replacing ribbon/knots/bows with paper strips and little punches or diecuts.  Embossing folders are a great way to add the WOW factor, too.
