Make a Wish: Clean-n-Clever Card

I just love a clean and simple look . . . in my home decorating, in my scrapbooking, and in my stamping!  Ideas that are clean and especially clever always catch my eye.  So how about a Clean-n-Clever CLOcard today?  This one by Irene grabbed my attention and went right into my "CLOclub idea" file.

Nice clean look, right?  And this is what I thought was so clever . . . it looks like the Baker's Twine comes right through the center of the punchies and ties in a knot.  But it doesn't!  I just wrapped 2 pieces of Baker's Twine around the layers and taped it to the back.  Then I attached the punchies with Dimensionals. Last, I tied 2 shorter pieces of Baker's Twine in a knot and attached them to the flower center with a Gluedot.  Clean . . . and Clever . . . nice!

Pretty Paper Folding

I love new techniques - especially when they are EASY!!  I received this pretty birthday card from fellow-demonstrator Gayle.  I loved it and knew I'd want to CASE it real soon!

Isn't the folded focal point cool? And it is super easy.  Just take a 4" square of Designer Series Paper, fold it in half each way, unfold it totally and then fold each corner in to the center so the points meet - and lastly fold each of those corners back out a little bit.  Embellish the center and attach the whole thing to your card using Dimensionals.  Here is my version, which I presented at one of my CLOclub classes:

Farewell to French Foliage

The good news?  The NEW Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog goes live on Friday afternoon, May 31st!  The sad news?  A TON of cool stuff will be retired and June 3rd is the last day to order.  One stamp set that I'm super bummed to see retired is French Foliage.  I love the versatility of this set and the artsy feel of the images.
