Saturday Morning Videos: Spooky Halloween Banner

Good morning and welcome to Saturday Morning Cartoons Videos!  Need something spooky to spice up your Halloween décor? Stampin' Up! is here to help you spook the halls. Check out our adorable new Build a Banner Simply Created Kit and the Halloween Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit! You can design your own like we did in the Holiday catalog or follow the simple instructions to make the one you see here!

Click on the Pic . . .

(Email readers go to my BLOG to see this!)

You'll need the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit which comes with eighteen blank canvas paper pennants, six each of three designs, nine feet of jute twine to assemble the banner, pattern stencils, a full alphabet of stencils and a color spritzer. If you find that you need additional pennants for other projects you have in mind, be sure to check out our refill kit.

The Halloween Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit comes with some really fun exclusive Stampin' Up! accessories. There are pre-scored rosettes, some beautiful ribbon -- including Pumpkin Pie seam binding. And I just love the super cute, exclusive, black vintage faceted buttons.

To get started, I'd like to share with you a couple of tips to help you be successful.

• First, you may want to put a little bit of adhesive on the back of your stencil so that it's easier to keep it in place. For this particular project, we have chosen to sponge the patterns and letters using a dauber, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Starfruit, and Basic Black ink.

• To make the rosette take the pre-cut and scored strips and fold them back and forth, attach the ends together, and now you can push the center down onto some hot glue to hold it in place.

• Now all of the other kit accessories can be added, we'll string the banner together with the jute, and add bits of ribbon for the finishing touch.

I love how cute it is and how simple it was to assemble! Have fun making your Halloween even spookier with this simply amazing banner kit! Be sure to contact me to spook the halls this year - and pick up your Banner Kit in my Online Store!

And thanks for watching cartoons videos with me today!  If you're in the mood for cartoon video reruns, check out my Videos page!

BLACK Friday!!!

I know, I should be posting a turkey idea!!!  But since it is Black Friday today and that makes me think of Halloween besides great shopping deals, I wanted to share with you the little treats I made for my kids on Halloween!

I just 'happened' to come across this 1/2 price punch at Target - and knew that face was too darling to ignore!  Well, then I had to use it to justify my purchase, right?! You know how that is.  :)  So I went home and made some Halloween treat favors for all my kids - my own children, my small group at church, and my student workers at my job.  Too fun!

Using the Two Tags die from Stampin' Up!, I cut 2 orange tags and punched one of them.  I folded each tag on the score line, overlapped the flaps and fastened them together.  I put green ribbon through the tag holes like a pumpkin stem, and stacked and taped candy bars inside.  As you can imagine, these were well-received!

And take a look at my new Personalized Stamp - makes copyrighting my work a cinch!  And the lucky recipients know where to find me to get more!
