Live Happy . . . with COFFEE, of course!

We just had another fun CLOclub meeting the other night - I just love chatting and stamping with those wonderful gals!  I know they like it, too . . . and they go home with some mighty fun projects!  Over the next few posts, I'm going to share with you some of those CLOclub projects!

This first one could be made for any occasion . . . it's a treat packet card!  You can fill it with anything that fits - such a nice surprise to get treats in a card!  My fave treat?  Coffee packets!

I received one similar to this from my stamping friend Sue Schmidt, and kept it for future reference.  I found the instructions on Sarah Wills' blog. And the design was inspired by a pretty card created by my upline Dawn!  I changed the dimensions slightly so that I used just a half sheet of cardstock the long way, 4-1/4" wide.

Stamps:  You're Lovely (SAB '14)

Saturday Morning Video: Texture Embossing with TIEF's!

Good morning and welcome to Saturday Morning Cartoons Videos! Today I will tell you all about Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. Embossing folders are made to use with your Big Shot, and they are the quickest, easiest way to add texture to your project. This is the Beautifully Baroque folder, one of my favorites. I am going to take a plain scrap of Early Espresso cardstock and place it inside the folder. Now I place the folder between my two cutting mats and on the platform. For embossing folders, always open your platform to tab number one. Now roll it though, and wow! You have this amazing, beautiful pattern. I went from this to this in a matter of seconds, which makes a huge difference on your projects. 

The next fun embossing folder that actually has a coordinating stamp set. You can use the stamp the Wildflower Meadow background stamp on your project, then line up the Wildflower Meadow Embossing Folder over your design and emboss! On this project, I wet embossed the image and the dry embossed with the folder, creating all sorts of beautiful texture. In both of these examples, I used clear embossing powder.

There are so many fun techniques you can do with embossing folders! I'll show you one that uses the brayer and my Gumball Green ink pad. I'm going to ink up the folder using the brayer, because if I bring the pad directly to the embossing folder, it might get ink down in the grooves. Now I'll place a piece of watercolor paper inside the folder and send it through my Big Shot. It inks and embosses at the same time! Look how that technique turned out on my finished card. So pretty.

Saturday Morning Videos: Using the Stampin' Spritzer

Good morning and welcome to Saturday Morning Cartoons Videos! One of our favorite products in our catalog is inexpensive, and adds interest to any project -- it's our Stampin' Spritzer! 

To use the Spritzer, simply choose your favorite Stampin' Up! Classic Ink Refill and add a few drops to some rubbing alcohol. The alcohol will help your ink dry faster than if you use water. You can get different intensities of the color based on how much Ink Refill to alcohol ratio.

The real beauty of the spritzer is that it gives you a unique look each time. Before your spray -- check your aim. Spraying up close verses further away will give you different looks. Pushing on the nozzle quickly verses slowly will also give you different looks. 

Experiment until you find which methods you prefer the most. You can really play around to get unique effects. Be sure to include a pack of Stampin' Spritzers in your next order -- and have a happy time spritzing.
