See Ya Later, Alligator!

I liked the Sale-a-Bration stamp sets that came out this spring and really wish they had continued into the Annual Catalog.  But such is not the case with SAB sets.  "See Ya Later' was one of my faves - especially since I used to sing the Sunshine song to all of my little ones - even when they weren't so little anymore!

This is a card we made in CLOclub, complete with alligator 'skin'!

We texture embossed the Gumball Green Core'dinations paper with the Decorative Dots folder and then sanded the dots to make it look like alligator skin.  The Baker's Twine is wrapped around the inside of the card, threaded through the button holes, and tied in a bow. The button is secured with a Gluedot and then a Dimensional for height, overlapping the banner attached with Dimensionals.  The stamp was inked up with a Summer Starfruit ink pad and then we used the Gumball Green marker to color portions of the stamp before stamping the whole image.

Live Happy . . . with COFFEE, of course!

We just had another fun CLOclub meeting the other night - I just love chatting and stamping with those wonderful gals!  I know they like it, too . . . and they go home with some mighty fun projects!  Over the next few posts, I'm going to share with you some of those CLOclub projects!

This first one could be made for any occasion . . . it's a treat packet card!  You can fill it with anything that fits - such a nice surprise to get treats in a card!  My fave treat?  Coffee packets!

I received one similar to this from my stamping friend Sue Schmidt, and kept it for future reference.  I found the instructions on Sarah Wills' blog. And the design was inspired by a pretty card created by my upline Dawn!  I changed the dimensions slightly so that I used just a half sheet of cardstock the long way, 4-1/4" wide.

This fancy little notecard is made with the Good as Gold Simply Sent Kit you can earn FREE with an order of $50 or more.  The kit makes 8 cards with envelopes that are lined with gold foil!  What fun - for yourself, or as a gift to another crafty friend. You can gift it as a kit, or you can put it together and gift it as a pack of finished notecards!

I mounted the word banner with Dimensionals, otherwise the only thing I had to add to the kit was adhesive!  I also trimmed the width of the card by about 1/16" so that it would slide into the envelope more easily.

Sycamore Street ... with a Twist!

Whew!  Did you enjoy Sale-a-Bration?  I know I did - and I can hardly wait for my last SAB order to arrive this week!  Here's a card designed by Dawn Olchefske that I made at a DOstamping class with SAB papers, the Sycamore Street DSP pack - but you could make it with any papers you have on hand. I love the springy colors - we need all the help we can get, right?!

The fun of this card is that it has an unusual 'twist' to it!  You might remember that I made Twist Fold cards for my family Christmas card last December.  I love this card design - unique and super easy!  You can find great directions from both Robin Messenheimer and Dawn Olchefske, so pop on over to their blogs to see how it's done!

The accent is just made with punches, buttons, and Baker's Twine - again, super easy!
