Butterflies and Back to School . . .

So are you wondering what on earth butterflies and 'back to school' have to do with each other?!  Well, as I was thinking of butterflies lately - those developing in the Butterfly House at the Minnesota State Fair, those I see outdoors, and of course the butterflies I create - I also thought of the new life that butterflies symbolize.  New life comes at any point of change - even at 'back to school' time!  A new school year is an opportunity to grow and change - to have a chance at the new life that comes with new experiences and challenges.  And just as for the butterfly, change for us often comes with a price - the price of difficult circumstances and challenging situations.  But the beauty that results from rising to that challenge, growing, and changing . . . it is worth it all!  Contemplate today the butterfly - and the beautiful changes that can happen in your life as you face each day with Strength, Courage, and Peace.  Here are a few cards to remind you . . .

Just Thinking . . . 2 different looks

Don't you just love it when a stamp has a LOT of versatility?  That's something I look for when considering a stamp purchase.  At a recent demonstrator shoebox swap, both Dawn and Jenny used the same stamp for their swap card.  But they ended up with two totally different looks!  This stamp can go either way - masculine or feminine.  Take a look!

Thinking of YOU, Laurie!

One of my dear fellow-demonstrators, Laurie, is going through breast cancer for the second time. She has been on my mind and heart SO much lately.  This card reminded me of her, since it is a CASE of her own cute creation.

 This is a Joy-Fold card and that's what I'm praying for Laurie . . . patience, hope, and JOY!  Not because of her circumstances, but despite them.

 The card base started at 3" x 9 1/4" and I scored it at 3 1/4" for the left fold.  The smaller card can be cut to any size you wish to fit your image. The final measurements of this card are 3" x 6" and it fits in a standard utility envelope.
