Another CLEAR stamp set - and it's da BOMB!

Happy day, stampers!  Stampin' Up! searched long and hard for just the right material to be able to introduce completely clear stamping - and is excited to announce that we now have wood-mount, clear-mount AND photopolymer stamps! The new photopolymer will be an addition to the stamp line.  It has just enough give to create a perfectly stamped image every time and with the introduction of our firm-foam pads, let's just say they're meant for each other! Photopolymer stamps will also be unique, fun designs that will inspire you and provide more versatile options you may not see in our traditional wood- and clear-mount stamp options.

Take a peek at this video!
(Email readers go to my BLOG to see this!)

What makes them so great?
  • They're entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don't worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They're age tested. They won't yellow or cloud up over time.
  • We could go on, but we'll let you try them for yourself.
They are clearly a great choice.

And now there are 2 sets to choose from!

Thoughts and Prayers Abound

Do you ever have one of those months where it seems like you need another sympathy card every time you turn around?  I have a list of names I need to send to - so I needed to get busy and create a stack of cards!

This is a simple card I saw on Splitcoaststampers by Lydia Fiedler - the faux letterpress technique is so pretty and quick & easy!

I patted an ink pad inside the front cover of a Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF), carefully inserted my cardstock layer, closed the embossing folder, and ran it through my Big Shot as usual. The ink was pressed to the flat cardstock but not to the raised impression.  Love the result!

I added my sentiment and a strip of pearls and mounted the layer to the card front using Dimensionals.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Thoughts and Prayers
Ink:  River Rock, Early Espresso
Paper:  Whisper White
Extras:  Flower Garden TIEF, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals
Inspired by:  Lydia Fiedler of Understand Blue

Thoughts & Prayers Clear-Mount Stamp Set
The ink pad I used on this card is none other than RIVER ROCK!  I know it's not used a lot out there in Stamping World, and it's being RETIRED!!!  (sad face.)  But I really like it and am glad I have it!

Don't forget to stock up on your retiring faves before they are out of stock.
And if you order today, you get FREE Shipping!  Woo hoo!

Stampin' Friends & Shoebox Swaps

Every month on a Sunday afternoon - for years now! - I get together with a group of dear friends to shoebox swap!  What is a Shoebox Swap, you may ask?  Well, we each make a card sample and then pack a shoebox with the supplies and tools needed to make our sample card - and bring it along to share with everyone else.  We spend the time making each other's 'card kits' and chatting the afternoon away.

I wanted to share a couple swaps with you today - and more in future posts!  These cards are by the incomparable Shirley Guzzi and Sue Schmidt!

My first attempt at using Copic markers! This could be addicting...

by Sue Schmidt

Paper piercing and embossing add SO much to a card!

And here's my shoebox swap ~ Treat Tubes!

Once I got used to the idea of giving up my Sunday afternoon nap once in a while and stamping with these chicks, I've never quit.  I love my time with them - I am always inspired, encouraged and refreshed by being together.

I encourage you to find a few stampin' friends and get together soon - you'll be glad you did!
